CAC

Civil Air Patrol has a cadet group called Cadet Advisory Council that passes information, idea’s, and concerns up to Wing, then to Region and then on to National. All squadrons should have at least one cadet as a representative and if not, use your chain of command to request one be appointed. The CAC is a meets once a month  and reports National, Region and Wing activities to you. I look forward to having a reliable CAC group to make Maine Wing a better Wing and form us all to become a group with equal goals.

Encampment

I am looking forward to seeing all the cadets attend Encampment either as staff or as basic cadets. The encampment will be like none other we have completely rebuilt and revamped the encampment as we work to make this activity worth while to attend. Our executive staff has been selected through an interview process has been evaluated and has been trained even further to improve the experience and education for the cadets. Once the cadets pass the Encampment they will be able to attend a number of National Cadet Special Activities, become an officer, train future cadets, and become a motivated dedicated member of society.

Graduation

23 April 2011 1 comment

Today, 12 cadets became confident Airmen. It is often said that Airmen Academy is the kindergarten of CAP. Our goal is to teach the very basics, and raise their level of professionalism. Cadets graduating from Airmen Academy return with a sense of followership, and the ability to lead. Honor cadet of encampment was awarded to the very deserving C/Amn. Glazier, who possessed all the characteristics that we want to see in cadets; A respect for the core values, a readiness to learn, the ability to work with a team, and the ability to adapt.
